1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage) are used on this marketing website (schooltrendz.com) and on the signed-in SchoolTrendz portal (app.schooltrendz.com). It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
2. Cookies on this website
This website sets no non-essential cookies today. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not currently run analytics on this site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will show a cookie banner that defaults to "reject non-essential", so nothing extra is set unless you choose to allow it.
3. Cookies and storage in the SchoolTrendz portal
Once a school and its users sign in to the SchoolTrendz portal, a small amount of strictly necessary cookie and storage use keeps the sign-in itself working smoothly:
- A sign-in refresh cookie that lets you stay signed in without retyping your password every few minutes. It is set as HttpOnly (a script on the page cannot read it), Secure (only sent over an encrypted connection) and SameSite=Strict (never sent to another site). This cookie is strictly necessary — the portal cannot function without it.
- Local browser storage for a few personal preferences: your chosen theme, light/dark mode and interface language are remembered To be confirmed: whether in browser storage or on your account .
Because these are strictly necessary for the service to work, no consent banner is shown for them inside the portal.

5. Managing cookies
Because we set no non-essential cookies on this website, there is nothing to opt out of here yet. In the portal, the sign-in cookie is required to stay signed in — blocking or deleting it will simply sign you out. You can clear local storage (theme and language preferences) at any time from your browser's settings; the portal will fall back to sensible defaults.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics or any other non-essential cookie in future, we will update this page, add a consent banner defaulting to "reject non-essential" as described above, and update the "last updated" date at the top.
