Questions about SchoolTrendz AI

Is SchoolTrendz AI available now?
It is in early access. It is built and tested but not yet switched on in a live environment; it will be switched on first with pilot schools. Book a demo to ask about becoming one.
Can it change data, like marking attendance or editing a fee?
No. It is read-only. It answers questions and never adds, edits or deletes anything.
Can a parent see another child's information?
No. It calls the same permission-checked functions a person could use in the portal, so parents only get answers about their own children and teachers only about the classes they teach.
Is every question logged?
Yes. Every lookup is recorded in the audit log, alongside changes made from a screen or by the system.
Which AI model powers it?
Anthropic's Claude.
Will it show sensitive details, such as national IDs or health records?
No. National IDs, health data, passwords and contact details are left out of answers unless the area genuinely needs them.
Does it predict results or write report card remarks?
No. It answers questions from the records your school already keeps. Results and ranks are calculated automatically by the Exams module, and marks and remarks stay with your teachers.
Can we use it on a phone?
Yes. The chat panel is part of the portal, which works in any browser on phone, tablet and computer. There is nothing to install.
